Merci!

A ride in the countryside...

I made this thank you card for someone who brought me a gift from France.
Stamp set: Paris in the Springtime.
First, I sponged the road with black ink then in scrap paper, I cut out hill shapes and sponged them with Certainly Celery.
Next, I cut out cloud shapes and sponged them in Bashful Blue.
The Merci "cloud" was punched out with the Scallop Oval punch.

The shopper/rider is colored with watercolor pencils, cut out & applied with none other than Stampin' Dimensionals.

To add glimer, I put shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol in a mister bottle and spritzed the card.  You can see the glimmer here...

See the Eiffel Tower is in the background!

Colors used:  Tempting Turquiose, Pink Passion, Pretty in Pink

Mother's Day cards...

I liked this layout so much when I made it in orange (see posts below) so I made another.
Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Blush Blossom is the color combination for this card.
This makes a nice rich color combination.

So Saffron, Ballet Blue and Mellow Moss were used for this Mother's Day card.
I used water color pencils to color card along with a gel pen to add highlights
as you can see in the close up picture.
I love the shading and blending that can be done with water color.
The gold butterfly bead is applied with a glue dot.
I also used the Mat Pack (pg 184) to pierce holes in the punched Photo Corner (pg 188)
and applied with SU Stampin' Dimensionals.

It's always nice to know someone is thinking of you!

I'm sending this to a friend hoping to add some JOY to her day.

Easter card in Watercolor...

Recipe for card: Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful (pg 85), Very Versatile from the Occasions mini catalog pg.5 Cardstock & ink pads: Barely Banana, Always Artichoke & Rose Red Punches: corner rounder, wide oval & 1/16" circle. (pg184) Accessories: brads, Stampin' Dimesionals, ribbon, Aqua painter (pg 190)

I used the lid of the stamp pads as my paint palette. Press the lid into the ink pad to get ink onto the lid. Fill your aqua painter with water and you have your paint brush. For more vibrant color, add ink to the lid with your reinkers (pg154-155) This water color method is a beautiful and easy way to add shading & depth when coloring your cards.

Side view...

I stamped the flower and a leaf to cut out and adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The flower image is also applied with dimensionals.
