Finally...some quality / quantity time to do some stampin'...

This is the most stamping I've had a chance to do since last year.
That's just not right!
Especially since even seven days without stamping
makes one week...or may I say weak!!

These are the cards I made for Melanie & Ema.
From the day Ema was born, I've whipsered in her ear
"Gramma luuuuvs you!"
I sent the "FORGET-ME-NOT" seeds & a reminder:
"Don't FORGET, Gramma loves you!"

Melanie is very talented with her flower garden
& usually would have seeds planted by now.
I made the little flower pot card especially for her.

Using several SU punches &  the Square Lattice embossing folder,
I made this cheery thank you card.
I love texturing my card stock with the embossing folders.
It always adds an extra nice touch!

Colored with Poppin' Pastel ~ a favorite technique of mine.

I loved the colors of this card but just was not happy with it
until I put the wide pink strip of card stock on the left side.
Layers are good!!
The yellow circle is textured with the Square Lattice folder.

What a nice color combination:
Not Quite Navy, Elegant Eggplant & Perfect Plum
Each flower is stamped and cut out with a
few applied with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Lovely as a Tree is a classic set.
So perfect for almost any occasion.

It took a little while to get going on these cards
since it had been so long but in the end,
it sure felt good to spend time being creative!

Now I have a few cards ready to add JOY to someone's day!

I can't believe it has been a month...

...since my last post!

December is such a busy month with dinners, banquets, company, etc.

Our choir at church starts in October preparing for the Christmas Cantata on December 20th.  Sharing the news of Jesus' birth and the reason He came in song is such a blessing.  Sometimes, music can touch our hearts in ways that words can't.

One of my extra activities was making an ornament for an exchange for the Yellowstone Calligraphers' Guild I belong to.  The ornament exchange has to have calligraphy or a type of paper craft used in the making.
I used my Stampin' Up! snowflake punch and circle punches for this ornament.  JOY is one of my favorite words...besides being a nice short word to spell out in calligraphy  :-)  After attaching each snowflake and circle to gold cord, I tied beads onto the ends of the cord.  I was happy with the way it turned out but couldn't get a very good picture.

I also made 30 Christmas cards.  The week before Christmas about 8:30 at night, I finally had enough inspiration & creativity to design and make my cards. *If it weren't for the last minute, how many things would go undone?!*

Even though I got 30 cards made by a little after midnight, I could have used 30 more.

I used Old Olive and Real Red to make my cards.  The tree stamp is from the set "Lovely as a Tree" pg. 110.  This is a great set for almost any occasion. (Besides Christmas, it works well for masculine, birthday or sympathy cards.)  The oval and scallop oval punches just fit the Christmas greeting.  The Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impression folder added so much dimension to my cards in such a short time.

Some year, I really would like to start my cards in July!!!

I love the service Stampin' Up! gives!  Yesterday, I ordered for a previous hostess/friend and it already shipped TODAY!

Lovely as a Tree...

...frosted with Polar White Flower Soft.

Basic Gray is the color I used to stamp the trees.  I applied Polar White Flower Soft to the trees and the snow on the ground & sponged in a few clouds.  Lovely as a Tree is such a beautiful set to use in any season.  (pg 110)  The finished card is spritzed with the shimmer paint & rubbing alcohol mixture.  I wish you could see it up close & personal to see the shimmery snow!

You can see a little of the shimmery mixture spritzed on the card.
See how the Flower Soft stands out to give a snowy appearance?

I also used the Window Word punch to make red tabs
and attached them with brads.

Colors used:  Basic Gray, Going Gray, Basic Black, Real Red and Bashful Blue
